I am a Bay Area native who moved to North Carolina to pursue my Ph.D. in Nutrition at UNC-CH. I am in my fourth year of the program and I study the effect of diabetes during pregnancy on the placental epigenome and development. I consider myself an interdisciplinary scholar and am at best when learning new ways to address a question. I am passionate about science communication, social justice, and reading.
